In stock form, the shifter and center console are mounted too low – the shifter resides too far from the steering wheel, and the console elbow rest is awkwardly lower than the door arm rests. By raising the OEM center console and shifter an optimal 2-inches, the FUNCTION-FIRST Performance Console Riser Kit creates a sportier and more comfortable driving environment.

 

Just like in the factory racecars, the shifter assembly is mounted onto custom machined aluminum hex standoffs, decreasing the distance between the steering wheel and shifter. Gear changes are now executed rapidly and assertively, and vehicle control is optimized by keeping the drivers’ hands on the steering wheel for longer. Additionally, the elevated center console elbow rest now provides adequate support, increasing comfort and improving ergonomics.

 

Utilizing OEM carpet throughout, the CRK seamlessly integrates into the existing interior. The kit includes all necessary hardware and trim, and replaces the OEM forward center stack with a new unit that offers greater knee and leg room. Over an inch narrower and sitting 2-inches deeper under the dashboard, the CRK center stack remains unobtrusive, yet still provides lateral leg support under aggressive cornering.
